Alamo Square
Visit the famous Victorian homes known as the "Painted Ladies." These fabulous residences are recognizable from their many appearances on screen.

Chinatown
Located two blocks from Fairmont San Francisco, Chinatown is home to the largest Chinese community outside of China. This area is filled with unique shops, restaurants, produce markets, herbalists and temples.

North Beach “Little Italy”
Nestled between Fisherman’s Wharf and Chinatown, North Beach is a lively neighborhood packed with legendary pizzerias, cafes and gelato shops.

Marina
Just down the hill towards the Golden Gate is the scenic Bay-facing neighborhood of the Marina. Known for its upbeat bars and restaurants, the Marina is also home to The Palace of Fine Arts, dating back to 1915.

Napa and Sonoma Valleys
Located 46 miles north of San Francisco is the beautiful and breathtaking Wine Country. Visit one of the 250 wineries located in this region, some of which date back to the early 19th century. Or, visit our sister property, Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa.

Berkeley and the East Bay
