I stayed with my family in 2 rooms from Friday through Sunday morning. Check in was smooth and the concierge was helpful. The rooms were spacious but the plumbing in both sinks and showers didn’t drain properly and both safes could not be used as they had low battery.
Beautiful hotel. Staff is friendly and professional Room was nice and the bed and pillows comfortable
Perfect location, perfect amenities

overnight stay for a business meeting no issues
Many stays over past five years. Always very good. Quiet and sophisticated. Not packed with rowdy functions. No cheesy "resort fees" or slick pricing tactics. This property respects the intelligence of its guests by avoiding these practices. Great location. Georgetown and Dupont Circle are an easy walk.
The public spaces of the hotel were fine, but the rooms were small and overpriced. Water pressure in the shower was poor, and non-existent if any other water was running. Soundproofing on the windows was poor - it sounded like the windows were wide open, even when they were closed. Doors to conference rooms and ballrooms were way too loud - every time they closed, it was with a loud slam that drowned out the speakers. You're paying for location here, not the hotel itself.
Walked into the gold lounge for breakfast. Tables were all empty but all dirty. I had to clean a table myself for my family. It was 10 am and food items were not replenished. Having only one person prepare food, clean tables, and check people in and out is inappropriate and quite unsanitary, not to mention appalling for a hotel of the Fairmont caliber.
I had a meeting with the American Society of Hematology. When I checked in, I unexpectedly found myself upgraded to the Club floor. The staff was very professional and courteous. The service was impeccable. I wish my meeting would have lasted more than 1 night.

The Fairmont is one of our favorite hotel brands that we stay at during family events or vacations. the facility at Georgetown was beautiful - the price was on the higher end when compared to other locations, room size was not as expected. my relatives payed less for larger rooms which was disappointing.
