After New York and London, Hamburg is the musical capital of the world: "Disney's The Lion King", "Tina - The Tina Turner Musical", "Cirque Du Soleil Paramour", "Pretty Woman - The Musical", "Harry Potter and the Enchanted Child" as well as several smaller ones like "Heiße Ecke" or "Die Königs vom Kiez" are performed here. The city offers not only famous stages such as the Deutsches Schauspielhaus, the largest spoken theatre in the country, or the multi-award-winning Thalia Theater, but also the Schmidt Theater & Tivoli, the Ohnsorg Theater or the Laeiszhalle concert hall. Especially worth seeing are the shows at the Hansa Theatre, Germany's oldest variety venue, or at the Pulverfass Cabaret on the Reeperbahn, Europe's largest travesty theatre and, as the director there says himself, the best in the world.
