We wanted historic 'old school' San Fransisco, and we got it! Scale, grandeur, and a great story.
The rooms are absolutely stunning. The staff is extremely helpful and easy to work with!
My mother, sister and I shared a corner suite for a few days on a girls trip. Hotel was conveniently located for our needs. We dined there for breakfast every morning, and had a wonderful time at the Tonga Room. All staff was extremely helpful.

It had been well over 15 years since I had been to the Fairmont Hotel. I usually stay with friends or by the Ferry Building….but had not stayed in a hotel in SF for 10 years. A friend was having a yard party in SF and I decided to stay…have my own space and treat myself. What a treat…The staff were just amazing from check-in, to the Tonga Room, room service, guest services. My room was wonderful and it was great to see the hotel doing well. I told folks at the yard Party and those that came from out of town to try a stay…won’t be disappointed….was a great SF stay…classic and friendly.

We enjoyed our stay very much, chose to stay in the hotel for our 24 hours in SF (we live locally, an hour down the peninsula). Everything and everyone made us feel special. Our only complaint was the relatively high cost of things like coffees and croissants in the breakfast cafe, so high as to be surprising, but not high enough for us to abstain ;)
