Manoir Richelieu opens its doors
On 18 June 1925, the Manoir Richelieu Golf Club was inaugurated by William Howard Taft, former President of the United States and a resident of Pointe-au-Pic during the summer, and Herbert Strong, landscape architect landscape architect
On September 12th, 1928, a major fire completely destroyed the Manoir. The cause of the fire remains unknown to this day. Canada Steamship Lines announced plans to build a new hotel on the same site, and the concrete from the surrounding hills proved to be the material of choice. Construction, based on plans by architect John S. Archibald, was completed very quickly, with the new Manoir opening its doors on June 15th, 1929.
It was only at the end of 1999 that the Manoir became Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, with the acquisition of the Fairmont hotels by Canadian Pacific Hotels and Resorts.

Our experience was fantastic and we had a phenomenal time.
We were very satisfied with the location, and the cleanliness and comfort of the room. The bar service was a tiny bit slow and over-priced. (this was heard amongst a few clients) Enjoyed the evening fire with the incredible view! A BIG thank you to the outdoor pool bar young lady who has just recently started with you! :) she represents the brand very well and is warm and inviting! creation of the V Spritz :) b day inside....
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, with exceptional service being a standout feature. The restaurant staff went above and beyond, providing attentive and friendly service that truly enhanced my dining experience. Emilie & Patrick made our breakfast experience a true 5 star. Eric served us dinner and was also expectational. Additionally, the front desk agent Nassir was impressively knowledgeable and efficient, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free check-in process. Overall, the high level of service made my stay incredibly enjoyable.

Every aspect of our stay was memorable ♥️

The hotel rooms are outdated, valet parking is chargeable, and the doormen do not properly assist with our bags, they will ask you if you want help with the 4 peaces of bags that you have instead of rushing to te help you nicely!! For an expensive hotel like the Fairmont the service should be much better. The only good thing in our stay was the nice lady with dark hair in the reception. She was so nice and helpful. I think her name was Amal.
A dear friend has wanted to stay for years. Because of COVID, we didn't make the trip until this year. Our experience totally exceeded both of our expectations. We appreciated the friendliness of the staff and their attention to detail. It was wonderful that lots of activities were available and included in the cost.
Great experience. Such a beautiful place with the St Lawrence River, flowers, hotel, grounds are just awesome. Would definitely recommend and will certainly return.
