The Grandest Music Legends

Created in 1967 by Claude Nobs, The Montreux Jazz Festival has become over the years an essential event, generating fantastic stories and legendary performances. It has been marked by artists such as Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Miles Davis, Prince, David Bowie, Elton John, Stevie Wonder and Quincy Jones, and continues to bring international artists and budding talents on the shores of Lake Geneva.

Since its beginnings, Fairmont Le Montreux Palace had been intricately linked to the Montreux Jazz Festival, and has become an iconic festival venue, hosting daily jam sessions and concerts, as well as being the accommodation for most of the artists. Through this offer, we invite you to immerse yourself in the amazing history of the festival and discover the music legends that have graced the city of Montreux and the halls of the hotel.

Day 1

The first evening of this 3-day package, you will learn how to make cocktails inspired by the greatest artists of the Montreux Jazz Festival during a private cocktail masterclass at our Funky Claude’s Bar, followed by a dinner at the Montreux Jazz Café.

Day 2

The following day, go on a guided tour of the city to discover the life and work of Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the band Queen, who lived in Montreux and recorded 3 albums in his studio. Get ready for authentic and previously unheard anecdotes thanks to the testimony of Peter Freestone, Freddie Mercury's personal assistant for 12 years, with whom the guide has been in contact for over 20 years!

Day 2 & Day 3

The music experience continues with a private visit of the Claude Nobs Chalet, followed by an aperitif. This unique and inspiring place in the heights of Montreux was the home of the Montreux Jazz Festival founder and is filled with memorabilia from all the greatest artists who performed at the festival. From, endless vinyl collections to B.B King’s guitars, you will be surrounded by collector’s items in an intimate atmosphere for a moment truly out of the ordinary.
