International Festival of Winter Cinema
The International Festival of Winter Cinema (IFWC) celebrates local and international winter, alpine, and polar cinema on our giant snow screen! Presented as part of the Silver Skate Festival (the longest running winter festival in Edmonton), this is the world’s only free outdoor winter film festival. IFWC allows film artists to gain exposure to their craft, while the public has the opportunity to enjoy the films.

Silver Skate Festival
Celebrating 35 years in 2025, Silver Skate is Edmonton's longest running winter festival! Silver Skate strives to create unique winter experiences through arts, culture, recreation and sports. Feel the freshness of cool air on your face as you skate on the ice and participate in winter recreation activities, marvel at the magnificent creations of international snow carvers in the Snow Sculpture Garden, explore the magic of the Folk Trail, be in awe of the majestic fire sculpture burns and learn from knowledge keepers, craftspeople, artists and more in the Heritage Village. Silver Skate is free to attend and has something for everyone.

Winefest
Celebrate Valentine's Day at Winefest! You're invited to indulge among hundreds of wines in all styles under one roof! Cirque Du Soleil; CRYSTAL

MARS at the Muttart Conservatory
Measuring 7m in diameter and glowing, Luke Jerram’s Mars features detailed NASA imagery of the Martian surface. Suspended from the apex of the Feature Pyramid, Mars will be surrounded by bright red plants including Bromeliads, Begonias and other bizarre botanicals that are out of this world. Soft seating throughout the pyramid will allow for an immersive experience, which can be enjoyed during the day or night.

Bluebeard’s Castle
