I was very interested in buying Zoe gin and wilfrid whiskey no matter how many times I asked is it for sale no one could offer a straight answer then I was told $120 then $60 then I was told fairmont has no license to sell the product or maybe ask the bartender if he would sell a bottle or 2 or check the website other guests laughed . my Question is if you display it you should have information regarding this product very frustrating could not get a straight answer.
I was given the room on the first floor directly over the garbage disposal and delivery gates. I had the distinct impression that the woman at the front desk took an intense dislike to me and this was my punishment. The noise of the garbage truck below my window was bad on Monday morning but then much much worse the following day. Serves me right for not asking to be moved, says the front desk, looking grim and heartless. The room was otherwise very good, large and comfortable with a view of trees and the top of the National Gallery of Canada. To be fair, I did get a reduction on the first night, but not on the second. The hotel was not heavily booked at the time... the maid was hanging around in tbe hall, pretending to be busy... but they still had given me this most problematic of rooms. The maid was kind and sweet. The front desk staff seemed to be sharks.
We found our experience to be very enjoyable, proximity to local amenities and the facility were fantastic.
Loved the location especially since we were there to celebrate Canada Day. had some challenges with a few things: the room lighting was kinda dark and light switches were confusing. The shower was tricky to use. It would have been great if front desk had provided more detailed instructions on how wifi works when we checked it - initial site connection appeared as if we would be charged by entering guest information. We didn't get wifi sorted out until day 2.

Expected, and experienced, a comfortable stay with friendly staff. I can't wait to come back.
The location and historic experience is excellent. However, the bar fridge is inconvenient for long stays as it is more of a vending machine where you are charged for even attempting to move the products. The king bed room is small with limited older furniture. Also there is nowhere to unpack suitcases. Overall it's okay for a 1 night stay but will not be my first choice for longer stays. All the staff from valet, front desk, concierge and cleaning were very nice.
The family specially our kids loved the stay, we will come back.
As a Platinum member I have come to expect a certain level of service. I did not receive my Fairmont Fit, I did not receive any welcome amenity, and I did not get a turndown service on any of the nights. I am not saying I am "entitled" to these, but at every other Fairmont I receive all 3 of those things and it really makes me feel valued.
The room lacked warmth, the bathroom floor was dirty, no Bluetooth speaker in our suite was very disappointing and our room didn't have a coffee table.
