Imagine the feeling of walking on clouds while journeying through pristine wilderness that is quiet and still. Image breathing the crisp mountain air and recognizing signs of wildlife. When the spirit of winter is alive in Banff National Park snowshoeing is one of the best ways to embrace it.
With an average annual snowfall of 3.9m (13ft) Lake Louise is superb for trying this ancient and efficient mode of travel. If you can walk, you can snowshoe. Join one of our Mountain Adventure Guides to discover our winter wonderland in the heart of Banff National Park. We offer two tours that are ideal for all ages and fitness levels:
Powderfest Snowshoeing
