Guests staying on Fairmont Gold also enjoy an in-room spotting scope, perfect for viewing the runway action up close. Outside of the hotel, visit YVR’s pre-security observation area or visit Larry Berg Flight Path Park for jets soaring directly overhead.
Pool Time // Visit the hotel’s Pool, located on the lobby level and open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for hotel guests, where you’ll find a children’s wading pool and mechanized lap pool and saunas for mom and dad.
Biking // With Iona Beach and McDonald Beach Park only minutes away, we're the perfect base for Sea Island exploration for those traveling with older kids. Adult bike rentals are available through the hotel.

Stanley Park // One of North America's largest urban parks covering 1,000 acres, Stanley Park is perfect for the nature lover or fitness enthusiast. Facilities include the Vancouver Aquarium, a pitch & putt course and outdoor tennis courts. There are also cycling and rollerblading paths as well as 22 miles (33km) of hiking and walking trails.
Capilano Suspension Bridge // Visitors are invited to experience a toe-tingling trip 25 stories above the Capilano Canyon on the longest suspended footbridge in the world. The nature park also offers a large selection of colorful Totem Poles and First Nation carvers continue this centuries-old tradition on a daily basis for visitors to watch.
Grouse Mountain // Located 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver, this year round destination offers a skyride tram which, on a clear day, looks back onto the extraordinary beauty of Vancouver. Enjoy downhill skiing, snowshoeing and sleigh rides in the winter or join an interpretive hike, a lumberjack competition, or try paragliding in the summer.
Science World // An interactive science centre fun for the entire family. Enjoy seasonal exhibits, a Kid's Space Gallery for younger children, and films in the Omnimax Theatre which is the world's largest big screen dome.
