Fairmont Vancouver Airport is located inside Vancouver International Airport (YVR), above the US Departures terminal.
Directions from YVR Domestic Arrivals Area:
Upon leaving the Domestic luggage carousel, go north towards the escalators and up one level to Domestic Departures.
Turn right at the top of the escalator and follow the signs to the International Terminal Departures.
Proceed through USA departures hall towards the sign that says 'USA Baggage Claim'.
Access to the Fairmont Vancouver Airport is on the right hand side via stairs, escalator or elevator.
Directions from the International Arrivals Area:
Upon leaving the International Arrivals take the elevator up to Level 3 - Departures Level.
Exit the elevator and turn right. Continue straight towards USA Departures.
Fairmont Vancouver Airport is located across the street from the Canada Line station, a light rapid transit system that operates throughout greater Vancouver. Travel time to/from downtown Vancouver (Waterfront station) is approximately 25 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at any Canada Line station.

First time staying on Gold floor ~ It’s unlikely we would do that again. Found out when we arrived at the hotel that the pool was closed; Not sure why we weren’t sent an email prior to this, as we would have changed the date of our stay. The front desk had three stacks of letters, advising people at the pool was closed, wouldn’t it just be easier and a bit more environmentally friendly to email everyone? There was another family, checking in who also expressed the same comments we did. When we made the reservation, we were told parking was included. However, at check-in, we were told it was an additional $28.50 ~ Thankfully, the manager waived it The rooms on the floor are very similar to the other rooms, just on a higher floor, and they have a telescope. Make sure you request to have your room very far away from the elevator. Their concierge desk gets very loud and we were all woken up Way too early by the staff yelling down the hallway to somebody asking if they needed help with their luggage. The volume/talking level that the concierge has is unprofessional and not relaxing at all. There should be doors separating the hallway to the concierge desk. We were very disappointed, as the previous times we have stayed here it has been exceptional.
After three flights and 13 hours, we were very happy to walk into the Fairmont YVR. Even at that late hour, we were pleasantly greeted, checked in and "sent to our room" for some much needed sleep. The best decision we made to start our vacation!
Everything was just great. Our checkin was seamless, front desk staff always friendly & we saw Kelly again for a short chat. Room was very clean & our housekeeper was also friendly & smiling even when working so hard. We ate all our meals (delicious) in the dining room & drinks in the Jet Lounge. Wait staff in both areas were wonderful, caring & happy. We saw many staff that we have seen over the years & a quick catch up with Juan in the bar. The concierge was very helpful & made sure we got our taxi. Thanks to all these hard working people that helped make our stay so pleasant even though it was for a medical appointment. This is the only hotel we stay at when in Vancouver.

Only there for about 15 hours-room was fine-the restaurant dinner ok value etc.
Booked a one night stay between a cruise debarkation and air travel back home. We were given a great room which was very luxurious and featured a great view of the North Shore mountains. Beautiful hotel bar and restaurant where we had an excellent lunch. Couldn’t be better.
Bell people and desk staff are amazing. Manager on gold level fantastic. Gold level lounge staff is hit or miss. Some are amazing some are horrible. I wish I got the name of one girl who was fantastic. Overall love the hotel we have stayed many times. Pool always seems to be closed when we stay but could be the time of year.
We arrived around midnight from Toronto. Our flight had been delayed. We were very tired.... we are both seniors and in my wife's case had just been released from the hospital there after over 6 weeks. So you get the picture. And oh, by the way I left my metal wallet at security in Toronto. The Fairmont team was exceptional. I wish I had written down all the names. They were all great. Roman at the front desk worked out a way to get us quickly checked in. Our bags were then quickly delivered .... AND more friendly "welcomes" and helpfulness. The food on the plane - Air Canada Business Class - was dreadful. So we ordered room service. MORE of the same treatment. The room was so clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Breakfast in your restaurant was excellent. Service there was not quite the same but our waitress was covering a large number of tables. In most other hotels we would likely have rated her higher. So that's not really a complaint. More of an observation. Checking out was as pleasant as checking in. Our bags were quickly taken down to the door where the doorman helped me order Uber. All the folks in that area were similarly friendly, helpful and efficient. Lots of warm smiles as well. We have travelled the world over many decades both on business and privately. Our recent Fairmont experience tops them all! Are you getting bored yet reading this? Well before getting into the Uber and saying goodbye my wife and I were wondering if this was dream..... so much so that we plan to return for a weekend visit just to enjoy ourselves and have a change of pace. I would like to shake hands with the people who hired and trained all these superstars! And no doubt Randall Williams as the current GM should be commended as well for this. "UNFORGETTABLE".
